OKT Market first introduced people to Kauaiʻs artisans and small businesses in Kōloa Town on a 3rd Saturday, December 19, 2020. Because the market event is outdoors and in an open air setting, we were able to operate and grow despite the many hardships and challenges the pandemic of 2020-2022 brought to everyone on Kauaʻi.
We were able to help Kauaiʻs struggling artisans and small businesses by giving them a place to showcase their products for purchase during those uncertain times. We are very fortunate that OKT Market experienced nothing but growth while island businesses were forced to close. We are very appreciative of the support from our community, most especially Kauaiʻs residents and businesses that attended and promoted us during the lean months while Kauaʻi was "closed" and later when travel restrictions were in place resulting in a decline in tourism. We aregrateful to have succeeded despite those challenges. Mahalo nui to all who have visited our market. You are the reason OKT Market is the most well-known and longest standing market featuring the best Kauaʻi artisans, food vendors and musicians on Kauaiʻs southside.
Where is the OKT Market?
The OKT Market is located on the South Shore of Kaua'i, in the heart of Old Kōloa Town. It is situated on the western end of Kōloa Town, at the corner of Poiʻpū Road and Kōloa Road. Look for the white tents that line the road behind the Texaco gas station. Our market vendors are spread throughout the quaint and historical Waikomo Courtyard, located behind Crazy Shirts on Kōloa Road., in the grassy area behind Kōloa Dance House off Poiʻpū Road, and along the side streets of Kōloa Town. There are unique shops, galleries and restaurants in Kōloa Town that are open while the market is taking place. Make sure to stop in and visit them as well.
When is the next OKT Market?
The OKT Market always takes place on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 4-8pm. View the current 2023 market dates here.
Is the OKT Market a Farmer's Market?
We do not focus on fresh fruits and vegetables. While you may find some Kaua'i made food products, such as jellies and sauces, the focus of the OKT Market is on Kaua'i artisan products and ready to eat foods. You'll find art, handmade jewelry, clothing, wood work, food trucks and more.
The OKT Market is held "rain or shine". We only cancel for unsafe weather. We hope you will join us "rain or shine" as well.
Is the OKT Market a family friendly event?
ABSOLUTELY! The entire family will find something to love at the OKT Market. There is room for the keiki to play and plenty of snacks and seating for when you need a rest.
How do I apply to be a vendor at the OKT Market?
We are always accepting applications for Kaua'i artisans, food trucks, and musicians. Please fill out the vendor's application here.
